The Bin-An-Oan Legacy
Bin An Oan began in Byron Center, Michigan as a family run orchard and market in the 1960s. Abe and Ellie Moerland started the family business and preceeded to have their children and grandchildren work in the orchard and market planting, weeding, harvesting, and cleaning produce.

When ever her grandchildren asked, Ellie Moerland would explain that Bin An Oan means "Garden of Peace" in the province where she grew up.
